At Christmas, we celebrated the birth of Jesus—the ultimate sign of love and hope. Love that motivated God to step into our world in the most humble and challenging of circumstances. Hope based on the everlasting truth that God is with us no matter the season or circumstance. The significance of Christmas never ends. It represents an enduring beginning because Christ's birth brings hope for a fresh start.
Mary and Joseph both faced challenges as they left behind life as they knew it. But it was also the greatest beginning, as a Saviour entered the world to bring redemption and peace that no one else could.
The past twelve months may have held moments of great joy, but for some, they have also brought sorrow, challenges, or unexpected turns. Perhaps you look back on 2024 with a smile and are excited for the year ahead. Or perhaps you reflect with tears you may carry into the New Year. In it all, God’s faithfulness is constant and unending and His love for you endures forever. Because of this we can look forward to the New Year with hope.
