Is Gather, Write, Pray for You?
Gather, Write, Pray exists to support Christians on their journey to fulfilling God's call to write. So if you are a Christian who writes, or wants to, this is for you.
​Sessions have been designed for Christians who:

Want to write, but struggle with delay, distraction or lack of focus

Are just starting or picking up a project after a break

Would like some structure and accountability, without pressure

Appreciate including Scripture and prayer in their writing life

Want to be part of a Christian faith-based writing community

You don’t need to be published or have everything figured out. You just need a desire to move forward in obedience to God's prompting.

What Gather, Write, Pray Includes

Structured time to sit down and work on your writing in a facilitated space, while others do the same. A typical Write With Me session involves:

Brief welcome with Scripture and a short prayer

An opportunity to verbally (or in the chat) share your goal for the session

A cycle of focused writing sprints and active breaks

Brief reflection on how it went (optional)

Closing

Ideal for: chapters, articles, blog posts, content planning, putting your ideas on paper, or anything associated with your writing project.
How it Works
Write With Me:

Every 4 weeks except for 3 times a year when they give way to a Writers' Prayer Room.

Sign up separately for each occurrence.

Writers' Prayer Room:

Three times a year, in place of a Write With Me session.

Scheduled to take place just before a Writers' Hour.

Sign up separately for each occurrence.

Writers' Hour:
-
Three times a year, for 6 consecutive days, Monday to Saturday.

Writers' Hour (Early Bird edition), starts at 6 am; Writers' Hour (Night Owl edition) starts at 8 pm.

Sign up once per edition and use the same link to join each day.

When you sign up for a session:

You’ll receive a Zoom link and any relevant prep, like “identify a goal for the session” or “bring a notebook and pen”.

About the sessions:

Seeing participants on screen can foster a sense of connection. However, there is no obligation to have your camera on.

You can choose whether to speak or use the chat to share your goal at the start and reflection at the end.

The sessions have been designed to create a rhythm of writing and prayer, but each one also stands alone, so you can join often or occasionally. ​​​

FAQs
1. Do I have to share my writing?
You won't be invited to share what you write and there is no need to share the detail of your project.​

2. Is there a cost?
Core gatherings will are free. Optional resources or workshops may have a fee to cover administration and facilitation.

3. What if I’m very new to writing?
You’re welcome. You can come with a half-formed idea, journaling practice, or just a desire to begin.

4. What if I am not sure what to write about?
You're welcome. Sometimes, making space to write is the step of obedience you that precedes inspiration.
