This is Your Birthing Season

There is no greater miracle than the miracle of new life.

This is your birthing season.

Isaiah 26:3-4

You may be seeking God to help you progress or succeed with something you want to return to or have been working at for some time. But God wants you to bring something new into being. It may be entirely new, or it may be a new way of doing something. It's not a deviation. You are not distracted.

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." —Isaiah 43:18-19

Just as a woman must listen to and trust her body when she is in labour, we must listen to God's direction and redirection. Trust God.

Trust develops over time, and God has been leading us towards deeper and firmer trust in Him for some time. This is not inconsequential. Trust is vital. When we trust God, there are things God can trust us with.

Even if you did not trust God in a past season, you can decide to trust God with the past. You can say, "Lord, I see Your hand. Though I didn't see it then, I now see that You have always been faithful. You have been my Shepherd. You have led me well."

We can choose to see God for who He is, or we can see Him through the lens of pain. God is good, and therefore we can trust Him. You, reader, can trust the Lord. He is good. He is good. He is good.

Trust God with the past

Trust Him with the pain and disappointment of the past. Just give it to Him and ask Him to work a miracle, to cause it all to work together for your good. Now take your mind off the past and keep it on Him (Isaiah 26:3-4).

Trust God with the present

Trust Him with the present. Not what it may look like, but trust Him that you are exactly where you need to be to give birth to what you were created for. To you, the circumstances may not be ideal, but in His hands, there is no issue. As the song says, 'God's not worried'.

Trust God with the future

Yes, trust God with all that lies before you. But also trust God with the very next step He is leading you towards. Trust that He knows best. Trust His plan is good. Trust that He will be with you in and through it all. Trust that God, who was good in the past and is good in the present, is leading you further into His goodness.
