God deserves for us to praise Him joyfully. It is possible to practice rejoicing over God no matter what we are going through, before we ask for anything, and even instead of asking for anything. Coming to God gladly, and joyfully expressing praise can benefit us and bring breakthrough but even if nothing appears to change in the natural God is still worthy of our joyful praise.
Sometimes rejoicing can feel like the last thing we want to do. Romans 5:11 reminds us God is the source and the object of our joy. We can "rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ" because, as Christians, our right relationship with God has been restored through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If we feel we have nothing to rejoice about there's always this great and wonderful gift! We are forgiven, we are redeemed, and we are free because of Jesus. Therefore we can and should rejoice in the Lord always!
Take a few moments every day this week to rejoice over your reconciliation with God.
Rejoice in the Lord as you Write the Scriptures below:
Psalm 68:4
Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;
his name is the Lord; exult before him!

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
Isaiah 12:6
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence.
Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Psalm 4:7
You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
Romans 5:11
More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
